Buggymoves

Buggymoves classes offer a full body workout combining aerobic exercise with carefully selected strengthening, toning and postural exercises to target the major mummy trouble areas; the tummy, back, bottom, legs and arms.

This is a 10 week course, which progresses week by week. Classes are an hour long and begin with a warm up, followed by energetic walking around the park with stops along the way for exercise sets to strengthen and tone your body back into shape. After the main workout, there will be a focus on exercises targeting the muscles that change during pregnancy followed by a cool down and a relaxing stretch. You’ll also receive advice on maintaining a better posture and exercises to work those all-important pelvic floor muscles!

As a mother of two young boys myself, I know how difficult it can be to juggle childcare and fit exercise back into your life. With no childcare concerns, buggymoves fitness classes offer the perfect path back into fitness after having a baby.

With limited class sizes and a fitness instructor qualified in post natal exercise, you can be assured that the classes are safe, effective and fun.


Mums on the run

Mums on the run classes combine a forest and beach trail run with an exercise session to strengthen and tone the main running muscles. Get up and running with our beginner's class or if you are already at the 5km mark, try our weekly Improvers class.

Beginners class (aimed at first-time runners) - Over a 10 week course, together we'll build up your fitness levels with a mix of walk-jogs, runs, interval training, circuits and strengthening and toning exercises. Having a goal is so motivational, so there'll be the option to enter a race at the end of the course. All you need is a study pair of running shoes, a good sports bra and a bit of get-up-and-go! 

Improvers class (for regular runners) -  This weekly class consists of a 5-6km run incorporating sprint drills followed by an exercise session focusing on the key muscle groups used for running.

Classes are for mums who are at least 9 months post-birth. Run in association with Jogscotland.

Class costs

  • Buggymoves and Buggymoves + :  An introductory class is £7. A 9-week block thereafter is £63.
  • Mums on the run:  £55 for a block of 10 classes.
  • Post Natal Personal Training:  £35 per hour session.

Completion of a Health Questionnaire is required before attending any of the classes.
